How to get here
Preferably by plane to Malaga.
There are more and more direct flights, often operated by so-called low-cost carriers. You can book both your stay with us and air tickets in advance, so the prices will certainly be attractive.
Then you have a choice.
Of course, the most convenient way to get here is to take a taxi, but at the start from the airport some taxi drivers charge around 20 Euro, so with about 40-kilometre journey = makes it more than 60 Euro. It is always worth asking the driver in advance about the cost of getting to Camping Cabopino, and maybe even try to haggle.
Public transport
It will be cheaper to make at least the first step by public transport.
Leaving the airport building, you see the Renfe train station, before going down to the underground, you will finde ticket machines. You have to buy a ticket here which is less than 3.5 Euro per person. With this ticket you will open the entrance gate to the platforms and then you have to choose the right direction. You have the choice between “Malaga city center” or “Fuengirola”. You choose Fuengirola. The train runs every 15-20 minutes.
After 35 minutes of riding you get off at the final stop. Keep your ticket! You have to use it to open the gate to exit.

Now you have a choice again.
An Uber taxi from here costs around 25Euro (remember the rule of asking the driver before you get in), or two streets away there is the estacion de autobuses, where you take the M220 bus towards Marbella. It is best to buy a ticket at a ticket machine, but as a last resort the driver will sell it to you. Remember that in Spain we get in through the front door, closest to the driver, buy or validate tickets here, and get out through the other doors. The M220 bus takes about half an hour from Fuengirola to Cabopino, and the ticket costs less than 2 Euros per person (M220 leaves every 30 minutes from early morning until late in the evening)
You get off at one of the two bus stops – either Camping Cabopino (high advertising mast on the right just after the Shell gas station) or if you miss it – don’t worry – in 300 meters on the left you will see an advertisement for Farmacia Artola pharmacy and you can also get off here. One of the two crossings over the street you go south (to the sea) and after a few minutes of walking you reach Los Cipreses 18 – our nice urbanization of Los Arbolitos, you are there!!!
Los Arbolitos
Los Arbolitos
Los Arbolitos is an intimate urbanization, 4 terraced houses, so only eight apartments, a large garden with a swimming pool, a barbecue area and a private gate behind which there is already a protected area, Dunas de Artola National Park.
Our guests also have a private covered parking space (if you need it) on Los Cipreses Street, number 5. You can see your car from the terrace, so it’s safe.
Apartment Kasia and Savo
This apartment is located on the first floor, where you go up external stairs, in front of the door with number 5 (Kasia y Savo) you will find a coded box with keys. Let us know that you are close, (+48 725 514 767) and within a short time you will receive a text message with the current numeric code to open the key box.
If you are going to come with your favorite pet, remember that for an additional fee of 30Euro for the entire stay (extra cleaning) we welcome animals if you accept our few rules. You are completely responsible for your pet. He is not allowed to run around the garden or use the swimming pool. You have to lead him on a leash (?) through the gate to the dunes and, if you want, release him there so that he can enjoy his freedom!
Area
Towards the beach…
Dunas de Artola features unique vegetation, dunes, comfortable wooden paths that will take you to one of the many sandy beaches within a few minutes’ walk. So when you go from your apartment to the seaside, you don’t have to cross any street, you can wear clothes that are comfortable for you. Just remember to lock the gate behind you for your own safety and that of other residents of our apartaments complex.
These wooden paths of the Dunas de Artola are constantly being extended, so you will probably soon be able to walk to the outskirts of Marbella on one side, and to Calahonda on the other and beyond.
And the port
Going to the left a few minutes walk, we reach the Marina Cabopino harbor and entertainment center. You will find many restaurants here, also with live music, most which offer quite affordable prices.
You will see beautiful and very expensive yachts moored to the marina’s quays. Here you also have the opportunity to take advantage of different water sports.
If you follow the beach towards Marbella, you will come to Chiringuito Triana. We recommend stopping by to taste delicious seafood dishes, beautifully served, right on the beach.
With all these attractions, don’t forget about the golden, soft sand on the beach and the possibility of swimming in clean sea water

Towards land
And now the other way, shops, pharmacies, bus stops and other restaurants.
The pharmacy is right down the street, on the same side as Los Arbolitos, it’s a great guide to which bus stop to get off at.
Going towards the street, you can use any available footbridge to get to the other side. Here you have several other restaurants (Indian, Italian) and shops. Also two supermarkets – Supermarket Proxim and 4 minutes further SUPERCOR Expres.
If you go towards Camping Cabopino, you can shop at a small Italian deli. Fresh bread, good Italian wines and spices, meats and sausages. You won’t buy vegetables and fruits here. However, you can reach this shop seamlessly in 10 minutes from the apartment!
Next door is a really good quality Italian restaurant Da Bruno. The prices here are not low, but you should come here at least once (be sure to try the house wine with dinner). The experience will be a revelation!
Local attractions
Marbella
Marbella is 12 kilometers away . You can easily get there by bus M220 or 6 and 9 (6 and 9 take a long time, because they turn to all corners on the way).
Marbella – a city of splendour, luxury and classic beauty. According to some, it is the most luxurious resort in all of Europe. Celebrities such as George Clooney, Antonio Banderas and even the king of Saudi Arabia have their properties here. The house of the latter is considered by many to be a copy of the White House in Washington. Yachts worth millions of euros moor in the port, and the latest Ferrari models speed through the streets – this is a quote from guidebooks. We don’t see this city that way. It’s simply lovely and worth visiting more often.
20 percent of the city center area is the 18th-century Alameda Park. In the shade of trees, on stone benches, many tourists seek rest while exploring the city.
In the Museo del Bonsai de Marbella are located Europe’s most valuable bonsai specimens, some of which are 200, 300 and even 400 years old!
In the center of the old town there are, among others attraction, the 16th-century Iglesia de la Encarnación church, the 16th-century town hall, and the small chapel of Ermita de Santiago.
Discovered in Río Verde in 1960 and 1961, the Roman mosaics and remains of buildings are in excellent condition. Many of the exhibits found here (ceramics, everyday objects) can be seen in the Archaeological Museum of Malaga, where they have been moved for better protection.
Kilometers of beautiful beaches, water sports, many golf courses, adapted to play even at night, the Avenida del Mar promenade with 10 bronze sculptures by Salvadore Dali, mountain trails (including to the top of La Concha), and many other attractions that cannot be described here. Let me just mention that only between Marbella and Malaga there are supposedly 52 golf courses. We have friends who come here in winter to enjoy this sport.
Not far from one of the M220 bus stops, next to an Italian pizzeria, there is a small restaurant.
The prices are very affordable and their “Cane con tomate” is one of the best stews I’ve had. Old rule. Eat where the natives eat, the dishes will be good and at affordable prices.
6 kilometers from Marbella is the famous Puerto Banus. it is a luxury marina visited by almost 5 million tourists every year. Beautiful yachts, beautiful cars, wonderful beach, very expensive… But you must see it.
Gibraltar two steps away – the rocks of Gibraltar are clearly visible from our beach!
From Gibraltar to Ceuta in Africa it is only 25 kilometers. This is the African part of Spain.
Mijas
Coming from Cabopino towards Málaga, it is impossible not to visit the white pueblo of Mijas. White houses budding on each other in a compact development, with the smallest corrida in Spain. And what about the smallest? It’s important that it is! Every self-respecting city in Spain wants to have its own corrida! You can visit for a few Euros. And what a view! The city is located on a mountainside, so the views extend over the whole of Benalmadena and Fuengirola, with all their urbanizations! Not to mention Mijas itself, or Valtocado.
If you drive a few kilometers further towards the mountains, you will pass Alhaurin Golf, you will reach the oriental Alhaurin del Grande, and then Coin, where you must take part in the street flea market, or see how they produce and decorate beautiful ceramic plates.

Malaga
It is impossible not to write about the most important – Malaga, the city center is only 50 kilometers from Cabopino. According to Forbes data (February 11, 2023), Malaga was ranked 1st in the world (before Venice and San Francisco) among 420 cities from 89 countries. It is “the best place in the world for a city break”. “Visit for yourself and you’ll soon understand why the eyes of the world turn to this impressive corner of Andalusia.” Malaga is known for its idyllic beaches, specific culture and delicious cuisine. “Malaga’s beautiful beaches and free attractions like La Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle attract people from far”. Picasso’s birthplace (October 25, 1881) and home to the Picasso Museum (free entry on Sundays after 4pm!), where more than 280 of the artist’s works can be seen. Antonio Banderas was born on August 10, 1960 here and currently lives here (a moment earlier he had a private estate near Los Arbolitos in Cabopino!). He is a great local patriot and every year he takes part in the local street procession of the Passion in Holy Week.
The historical center of Malaga with the cathedral la Santa Iglesia Catedra Basilica de la Encarnacion de Malaga, where you can go with a guide to the roof of the temple and admire the panorama of the city, the ruins of an authentic Roman theater at the foot of the Alcazaba fortress (every Sunday after 2 p.m. free entry to the fortress), Gibralfaro castle, numerous galleries, such as Museo Carmen Thyssen (Andalusian painting), or Center Pompidou (collection of modern art), Museo Automovilistico y de la Moda and dozens of others.
And seaside promenades full of pubs and bars, numerous wide and sandy beaches, with chiringuitos bars specializing in fish and seafood, where dishes are prepared in special grills, usually made of an old boat filled with sand, where charcoal grills are loaded gifts of the sea on a spit.
In the former shipyard building, there is the Mercado Central de Atarazanas city market, where it is worth going in search of typical Andalusian delicacies.
How to describe all this without missing something interesting? If you love places like this, you won’t have enough time to see it all in one vacation!
Other places to visit
You can reach Ronda in an hour by car, Cadiz is only 200 km, a little further beautiful Seville, the other way Grenada with the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains – less than two hours by car, along the way Nerja with the balconies of Europe and the old white Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful white towns of the Costa del Sol. In Nerja, be sure to see Cueva de Nerja a vast complex of caves, where you will be photographed at the entrance, which you can buy for 8Euro when leaving. We joked that this is the best way to check if those who entered there really left.
You can’t get bored here!
If you like walking on organized mountain trails, be sure to visit the el Chorro mountains and walk the Caminito del Rey paths. Don’t forget to take something on your head under the helmet (the helmet is provided at the entrance) and plenty of mineral water plus energy bars. We made it to enter the paths “from the march”, but to be sure, you should book tickets online in advance https://www.caminitodelrey.info/en/tickets/buy.
And after this effort, the bus will take you to el Kiosko, once an ordinary grocery kiosk, expanded over the years to a large restaurant facility with many separate dining rooms, where you can eat a delicious meal and drink a well-chilled beer, or a glass of good wine. You deserved it!

We recommend this place practically every time of the year. More than 300 sunny days a year are guaranteed, and temperatures are very summery from April onwards. Even in October and November it is very nice here, you can swim in the sea or swimming pool and wear summer clothes. The daytime temperature here exceeds 25*C in these months.
You can feel the chill at the end of November after sunset.
In December it is often still warm and pleasant, but at a time when the sun is shining. However, it is still nice, just remember about warmer clothes.
February is probably the coldest month. But believe me, most of the photos (except Ronda and Caminito) that you see in our offer were taken in January and February, so judge for yourself!
For cool evenings and nights, we have electric heaters in the apartment, and an air conditioner in the living room, which both cools in the summer and heats in the winter.
And now the best! Here you are away from the hustle and bustle of people and cars. Our apartment is located in a private large garden, where peace and quiet prevail, you can only hear the sound of the sea and singing birds. You can go out to the private beach through a side gate, on the way to the beach you will meet people walking along the dunes or paths. Alone, in small groups, or with your pets. And on the beach? You choose whether you want to be in the bustling company of other vacationers, but I guarantee you that the long and wide beaches and dunes will provide you with enough privacy and peace to rest.
We hope that you will fall in love with this place as we did, that you will be delighted with the area and plan your return to feel the magic of this corner of the world again.
